KEY INFORMATION 2024

The Race

The route is 6.3km long with 380m of climbing.

The start and finish of the race is situated down the side of the pub.

As you set off, you will turn out onto the road and run up the road for around 400m. Roads are marshalled but we ask you for your own safety, where possible, to stay on the pavements.

Please keep all flags on the left hand side.

If you drop out of the race please make you way to the nearest marshal, or the start/finish area to report that you have retired.

 

Kit requirements

Depending on the weather, please be prepared to carry the following kit :

•Waterproof jacket

•Waterproof leggings

•Hat/buff

•Gloves

Kit requirements will be on display at registration.

 

Registration

Registration will be inside Chinley Bar and Lounge (23 Lower Ln, Chinley, High Peak SK23 6BE) from around 6pm onwards. Toilets are situated inside.

The start and finish are on the field behind the pub and new community centre.

The race will set off at 7.30pm.

 

Directions and Parking

Parking is fairly limited around the village. We advise you to car share wherever possible. Please try and avoid parking on roads where the race route goes. Once parked, please make you way to Chinley Bar and Lounge.

The two main car parks are:

•St Mary’s Church Car Park SK23 6EL

•Chinley Station Car Park SK23 6AY (Pay & Display)

Prizes

This year we are giving out homemade cake/biscuit prizes!

Prizes will be given to 1st, 2nd and 3rd overall men and women additionally, 1st man and woman in the following categories: U18, Senior, V40, V50, V60, V70, V80.

 

Results

Results will be posted on the website after the race.

 

Refreshments

Chinley Bar and Lounge will be serving drinks etc. post-race.

Café Bombay situated in the village is a great Indian takeaway for anyone looking for tea afterwards!
